I love my new Miele Stick Vacuum! Thank you for all of your expert advice Bill. And for also upping me to the higher model.

The best machine repair shop around! I refer so many people to Bill with the confidence that they’ll be well taken care of. I’ve had my Bernina machines (they repair all brands) in for a tune up or repair from time to time, and he has always taken such good care of me. Seriously, if you have any machine trouble in the state of WA, make the trip to Smokey Point Sewing and Vacuum.

Bill is wonderful. When my old Janome MemoryCraft died in the middle of mask making for a nursing home he helped me find an awesome newer used MemoryCraft to continue on. He also gave me some very useful tips to help avoid some maintenance issues. I love this machine and his tips have already saved me from taking machine in again as i continue making masks, now selling them on etsy.

In my head i have thanked him often, it’s time i write a review.

My quilt challenge – 324 square-in-square or diamond-in-square on metallic gold painted fabric with seams pressed open requiring a perfect match at every point and intersection. I love my Janome 9400 and love the piecing accuracy I achieve using the HP foot. However with this quilt, at times I was sewing over 9 layers of fabric and folds using a 2.0 stitch length, a challenge for any machine. I was fixing 50% of the points as the fabric would sometime move just a slight bit as it took little tiny bites over the hump leaving me struggling to remove these stitches to make adjustments. I even began using a longer stitch (3.0)and then when all was perfect restitching with a smaller stitch so seam wouldn’t show when pressed open. During a break to rest my eyes, I wandered into see Bill and he handed me this new HP2 Foot. I am sure my draw dropped, how did he know? I was more than over joyed with anticipation as I drove home. I finished my last seam today, 72 inches with 34 points or intersections to match and only had one adjustment to make. This foot really does the job, I even lowered my stitch length to 1.8 as they were all very even no matter how much bulk–a blessing for the now rare occasion when I have to fix something. This sewing machine and the AcuFeed HP2 foot is a precision quilters dream.

I have been dealing with Bill at the Smokey Point Sewing & Vacuum since I bought my Janome 6600P in 2007. The yearly service is reasonably priced and done in a timely manner. I also purchased a Janome Jem Platinum for retreats, and then a 3160QDC. All three of these machines have been a joy to use. He recently gave me a good trade-in value for my 6600P, and I bought a 6700P. What a difference 12 years makes in a sewing machine! Bill is very knowledgable about his products and willing to spend time with clients to answer questions. I have a feeling he would have let me sit and sew as long as I wanted, to test the new 6700P. I highly recommend this business.

I really love the new walking foot. Used it to quilt Sunday be have left it on and am using it for piecing. Works great!

A couple of years ago I decided to start quilting. I walked into Aunt Mary’s quilt shop and asked where I could get a good quilting machine. Bill Williams was very highly recommended at the Smokey Point Sewing and Vacuum. I bought my very first quilting machine from him. It Is an Elna 5200. It is a wonderful beginners machine. He was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions and gave me excellent advise. He listens to his customers and provides you with great customer service. He stands behind what he sells. I recently decided to upgrade my quilting machine to an Elna 7300 and he let me trade in my old one. I love my new quilting machine now. He also sells Janome. They too are great quilting machines. So, if you are looking for a great quilting machine, go to Smokey Point Sewing and Vacuum and talk to bill, you won’t be disappointed.

RECENTLY I BOUGHT A JANOME SKYLINE s5 FROM BILL. i HAD COME INTO THE STORE TO BUY SOME MACHINE OIL FOR MY JANOME MAGNOLIA WHEN I SAW THIS WONDERFUL MACHINE AT A GREAT PRICE. i HAD ABSOLUTELY NO INTENTIONS OF PURCHASING ANOTHER SEWING MACHINE. THE MORE I LOOKED AT ALL THE FEATURES THIS MACHINE HAS AS WELL AS THE PRICE I COULDN’T RESIST. i DID HAVE A COUPLE OF CONDITIONS. THESE WERE MET WITH NO RESISTANCE FROM BILL. HE ALSO BOUGHT BACK MY OTHER MACHINE AT A MORE THEN FAIR PRICE. THIS MACHINE IS AS FANTASTIC AS ADVERTISED. I DID MY RESEARCH ON LINE BEFORE PURCHASING. I AM SO HAPPY WITH THIS MACHINE AS WELL AS THE SERVICE I RECEIVED. THANKS BILL FOR BEING SO ACCOMMODATING!

Bill, the owner, saved me from wasting my money on sewing machine repair, so I asked him for his vacuum cleaner recommendation. He led me to my ultimate machine, the German-made SEBO, which I had never heard of previously, and I determined to buy from him when I was ready, and went home and did more research on the brand to confirm the choice. His price was better then the best I saw anywhere online, and his service promise and info were fantastic. He is very professional and efficient, and even gave us a carpet scent tub as a gift, because my boys were eyeing when we were in the shop. Will definitely return! Old fashioned value and service, great prices!

My husband brought in my “horrible Hoover vacuum” for servicing in November 2015. My husband started to tell Bill about my cleaning frenzies and Bill told him about the Sebo and Miele vacuums. My husband came home and brought me a brochure. So, I did my Homework on the Sebo and Miele canister vacuums. Both of these vacuums are exceptional and quiet vacuums! Because of my personal needs: I love the Sebo D-4 canister: I love that the yearly servicing on the Sebo will be less expensive to service than the Miele. I love the attachments that come with the Sebo canister D-4 and the option to buy attachments that fits my needs. I love that the bags sits inside its own compartment away from the motor. I love that I can control the speed and suction of the Sebo D-4 on the handle and the canister. While vacuuming if a corner of a rug gets sucked into the vacuum head it will automatically stop. The nicest feature of the Sebo is that you can remove the roller brush to clean it. I do wish the Sebo had lights on the vacuum head like the Miele, but I figure it is one less expense and one less hassle of replacing the light.

I was SO skeptical of not only buying a vacuum but being sold a product that would not perform as advertised and I would be stuck with a crappy vacuum and money down the drain. In the past I have had bad experiences with a small vacuum shop in another state, plus I’ve had bad experiences with a brand name vacuum company. I was so skeptical when I walked through the door of Smokey Point Sew & Vac that I put poor Bill through the ringer. To my surprise he was pleasant, personable and made me feel as ease. He also let me vacuum his whole store so that I could try out the vacuums I wanted too and for as long as I wanted too. If you want someone you can trust and definitely stands behind his word, Bill is the guy for you! I promise you will not be sorry!

I ended up purchasing the Sebo D-4 canister vacuum and loved it so much that in March of this year I also purchased a Sebo X-4 upright vacuum. These vacuums perform so well and I enjoy using them. I can’t stop talking about my vacuums and my experience with Bill at Smokey Point Sew & Vac. You truly will not be sorry with his hands-down fabulous service and product lines. He definitely exceeded my expectations!!

I have become a great fan of the Janome sewing machines. From my experience, they are user friendly, and sew beautifully. Janomes are well priced so you do not need to spend a fortune on a machine these days. I have a small one to take to class, and it works great. (Ask Bill, he knows just which one it is!)
I especially appreciate the fact that Bill will not over-sell you something that you do not need, and is honest and stands by his machines and store. I have no problems recommending his store to my classes. I hope you will stop by and say hi to “Mr. Bill” And, if you are looking for a new machine, you might want to stop by and check out all the floor models for yourself. By the way, the new top of the line Janome sews like a dream!
