How fun is creating and sewing the illusive morel mushroom?

I created the pattern for the morel and imported it into Cricut Design space. I crossed my fingers as I selected genuine leather and pressed “cut”. It cut 90% of the pattern and a pair of snips finished it out.

Three layers; bottom, middle and the decorative top ready to paint and glue.

The M7 has a Teflon foot and easy glide plate to allow the leather to easily move under the foot and base plate. An easy switch to this setup!

I set up Janome’s HD9 and grabbed my size 18 needle, #69 weight thread and the roller foot to stitch ALL the layers up!
Some touch ups on paint to add to the look and she’s all done!
